The little 13-year-old girl Baby Kumari, a tenant in a small house in Delhi, is still dreaming despite the hard reality which life has put before her. An 8th grade student at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Mansarover Garden, Baby has had to face challenges strong enough even to break spirits. However, she continues to be unshaken in her fight for success.

Family Struggles for Survival

Baby Kumari lost her mother in her early childhood. It is Mr. Anil, her father, who has to raise this little one. He works hard as a laborer to support their basic needs with meager earnings of ₹8500 per month. For the last 28 years, it has been tough for the family to live with heavy financial instability, such that they cannot afford necessities, leave alone quality education. The rented accommodation is a constant reminder for them about their struggle for survival.

Despite all the losses and struggles, Baby Kumari continues to shine in her studies. She is an enthusiastic learner and does wonders in academics to build a better future for both herself and her father. Above all, her tenacity in challenging situations is extremely inspirational.
