Mr. Virendra, Jyoti's father, is a labourer who earns just over ₹10,000. For about 15 years, this family has been battling for a livelihood and struggled even to afford the necessities. Their rented house has now become the symbol of their struggles; perhaps, Jyoti's hopes will promise her a better and brighter tomorrow.
