Muskan’s Journey to Independence

Muskan is a 24-year-old woman from Ramesh Nagar, living with her family of four; her father is a driver earning about ₹9,000 a month. From this amount, ₹2,200 goes toward rent. It has been very challenging for the family to make ends meet. 

Muskan aspired to support her family; unfortunately, she did not possess the skills. One day, she found out about Care India Welfare Trust and enrolled in their parlour course. With great determination, she worked hard and learned the art of applying Mehndi.

Today, Muskan applies Mehndi in different functions and even goes to homes. Her earning this rate, that is, ₹6,000 to ₹7,000, helps support her family, consequently giving her a sense of pride in her achievements.

The story of Muskan is an inspiring one; she proved to the world that given a little encouragement and determination, anybody can create a favorable future for oneself.
