Mansi a resident of chuna bhatti slum area, located at our national capital New Delhi .being a bright student and good in academics she receive regular applauds from her teachers. but things started to change when she started to fall ill frequently, due to this she remains absent quite often from her school. at first not thinking it to be serious. mansi's parents started with the traditional home remedies but soon they realize that these were not enough, they decided to visit to a doctor but owing to the distance and expense, no follow up visits were made. mansi's condition was getting worsen day by day as she developed high fever and started to lose weight significantly. Fortunately her parents get to know about our free medical clinic which runs every day. her parents brought her to one of our free medical clinic, the doctor immediately noticed her yellowish eyes and skin, after checking with her medical reports, the doctor confirmed mansi had jaundiced. The doctor prescribed the medications and advised diet precautions to mansi's parents, along with complete bed rest. After her recovery, mansi resumed her classes and has been regularly going since
Mansi's mother:“ we were only relying on home remedies ,at one stage we were very frightened when mansi fever was not dropping down ,we now realize the importance of proper health check-ups and correct medical advice ,now i am making everyone aware in my local community, about the importance of good hygiene.”
